php52 - The PHP HTML-embedded scripting language. (PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor)

Website: http://www.php.net/
License: The PHP License v3.01
Vendor: Rackspace US, Inc.
Description:
PHP is an HTML-embedded scripting language. PHP attempts to make it
easy for developers to write dynamically generated webpages. PHP also
offers built-in database integration for several commercial and
non-commercial database management systems, so writing a
database-enabled webpage with PHP is fairly simple. The most common
use of PHP coding is probably as a replacement for CGI scripts.

The php package contains the module which adds support for the PHP
language to Apache HTTP Server.

php52-5.2.13-5.ius.el4.i386 [1.3 MiB] Changelog by BJ Dierkes (2010-06-15):
- Add small hack to BuildRequire mysql-devel < 5.0.91 to force mock to
pull the stock verson of mysql-devel (el5+)
- Removed preset elX macros, changed references to 0{?elX} instead
(this uncovered that el4 was actually using the bundled pcre so
fixing that to reflect how it is actually building).
